The vision of ILS to provide educational assistance through means of teaching, mentoring, coaching and supportive resources. ILS was launched out of the desire to see the disadvantaged fully realize their potential by providing skills through literacy and effective leadership that would equip them to always self-improve regardless of life's challenges.

Executive Director
ILS Founder and Executive Director, RJ Marshall, is a native of Chicago IL. RJ is a charismatic and selfless leader committed to helping empower individuals through literacy and personal development. Having dedicated years of service through
volunteering, mentoring, and participating in numerous developmental programs. RJ’s passion is to help people reach their maximum potential.

In addition to leading ILS, RJ is a published author and entrepreneur. He is the CEO of RM Innovations, LLC, a consulting firm that specializes in personal and organizational
development. He also is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. RJ possesses many leadership abilities; team building, organizational leadership, community-based programming, and executive-level strategy with alignment of management processes.
RJ obtained his bachelor’s degree in international and Community Development from, Oral Roberts University (2009) and his masters degree in Urban Christian Ministries from Trinity International University (2013). A family man above all, RJ Marshall shares his calling and covenant with his beautiful wife Kristan Lauren. Together they share in the joy of raising two beautiful daughters McKenzie and Zuri Marshall.
